Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
In short: Yuzudoku has no account and never asks for your name or email. Your progress stays on your phone. We use a few trusted services to show ads, measure how the game is used, and handle purchases. In Europe, ads are only personalized if you agree, and on iPhone, nothing tracks you across other apps unless you allow it.
Who we are
Yuzudoku (“the app”) is published by Titouan Alasseur (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for the processing of your data. You can reach us at any time at contact@yuzudoku.com.
What stays on your phone
Your game progress (levels, acorns, streak, hints, best times, games in progress) and your settings are stored only on your device. We do not receive them. If you delete the app, they are deleted too.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally by the app on your device. No notification server is involved, and you can turn reminders off in the app settings or in iOS settings.
What is shared with service providers
Advertising: Google AdMob
The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob: optional rewarded ads (you choose to watch one in exchange for a bonus) and occasional full-screen ads between levels. To serve and measure these ads, Google may collect your IP address, device information, ad interactions and, only if you allow it, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent message before showing personalized ads. Without consent, Google may still show non-personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the app settings.
Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Yuzudoku Plus subscribers do not see ads.
Usage analytics: PostHog
We use PostHog to understand how the game is played so we can improve it: for example which screens are opened, which levels are started or completed, and whether a purchase was made. These events are linked to a random identifier generated by the app, not to your name, and include basic technical information (device model, iOS version, app version, language, country derived from your IP address). This data is hosted in the European Union. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the game.
Install attribution: Tenjin
We use Tenjin to know which ad campaign, if any, led you to install Yuzudoku, so we can spend our small marketing budget wisely. Tenjin receives your IP address, device information and, only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, your advertising identifier (IDFA). Otherwise, it relies on Apple's privacy-preserving attribution (SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit).
Purchases: Apple and RevenueCat
All purchases (acorn packs, Yuzudoku Plus) are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check your purchases and manage your subscription; it receives the purchase receipts and a random identifier generated by the app.
Tracking on iPhone
iOS asks whether you allow Yuzudoku to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared and nothing changes in the game, not even the number of ads. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
International transfers
Google, Tenjin and RevenueCat may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is kept for no longer than 2 years. Purchase records are kept as long as required to provide your purchases and meet legal obligations. Each provider applies its own retention rules for the data it processes as an independent controller (Google for ads, Apple for payments).
Children
Yuzudoku is a general audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (in particular under the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Since we don't know your name or email, we may need you to help us identify your data. Just write to contact@yuzudoku.com and we will answer within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
